Spencer Marks is a software architecture with Boston Children’s Innovation & Digital Health Accelerator (IDHA) Group. Spencer is responsible for technical solutions - from initial architecture, through development and product release of all internally developed software. He also consults on other projects across the hospital as needed.

Over the past 25 years, Spencer has worked at many organizations both large and small including Apple, Google, and too many startups to keep track of. Since 1998 Spencer has taught software engineering courses as part-time adjunct professor.

Spencer received his MA in English Literature from Clark University in Worcester MA and BA in English from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs NY. His entry into computing was the result of having mild dyslexia (although he didn’t know it at the time) and too many English papers to type.
