Gaurav Tuli is a Senior Data Scientist with Computational Epidemiology Lab and Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator at Boston Children’s Hospital. He leads the ML efforts of the group and loves working on the topics of infectious disease surveillance, patient experience, and diagnostic aids for clinical decision support all using Machine Learning and auxiliary data streams. Gaurav closely collaborates with engineering and research teams at nonprofit (e.g., Google.org, Robertwood Johnson Foundation) and for-profit (e.g., Google Health, Facebook) organizations on large-scale research and development projects on emerging and chronic diseases surveillance. He also develops various inhouse cross-project services for data ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis of structured and unstructured data.

Gaurav has a PhD in Computer Science with focus on applied ML, modeling and simulation pertaining to population health from Virginia Tech.
